Welcome from the Virginia Commssioner:As we embark upon a new season, we look forward to seeing you at some of the many events we have in the region. This will be the second year that we attend events in Lexington in the far western part of the state. We hope that we will again have a Scottish event in Radford this Fall and we’re also planning to attend the Loch Norman Games in North Carolina this year in order to provide a good opportunity for members from south central Virginia to attend an event closer to home. We are looking for Clan Donald members throughout the state to help us find local Scottish events for our members to attend. We especially need help from Clan members in the Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Chesapeake areas of the state and could use some volunteers as well. As Clan Donald moves into the 21st century we have gotten a lot more queries through the internet, many from potential Clan members desperate to try and track down their ancestry. If you have experience in a particular region or clan name from researching your own ancestry please contact me so that we can help share your knowledge and expertise with others.
